Editor's Note: Because of the apparent significance of Psyohiatry ad the Law, the Iowa Law Review is here publishing reviews by recognized experts in the fields of criminal law and psychiatry. In preparing their reviews of Psychiatry and the Law, Professor Hall and Doctor Menninger were advised that they had "relatively unlimited freedom to discuss the book and set forth [their] own thoughts regarding its subject." Both reviewers prepared their manuscripts and submitted them independently for publication.
