Austen L. Parrish (b. 1972) became the sixteenth Dean of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in January of 2014. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Parrish received his B.A. (1994) from the University of Washington and his JD (1997) from Columbia University. After law school he became an Associate at the Los Angeles offices of O’Melveny & Myers, where he remained until joining the faculty at Southwestern Law School in 2002. In addition to rising to the rank of Professor of Law at Southwestern, Parrish served as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs (2008-2012) and Interim Dean and Chief Executive Officer (2012-2013).
