FURNITURE If you need to move furniture around in the classrooms, such as tabletop lecterns or chairs, please put them back when you are finished. STUDENT FAXING A number of students have inquired about the ability to fax documents here at the law school. This topic has been addressed on a number of occasions by the school and just recently the library staff took the initiative to do some research into the matter. What was discovered was that the current fax machines located in the law school are used significantly during business hours by a number of offices. What the library discovered was if a fax service were to be offered, it would have to be following normal business hours (after 5 pm). hi addition, the amount that would have to be charged for such a service, not only the cost of the phone call, but also someone to staff the machine, would be in excess of what local businesses currently charge. It was also discovered that there are a number of students who may not know that there are a number of fax services very close to the law school that would be able to fax a document when they need it and at a reasonable price. Therefore, it was decided to provide students with a list of local businesses who offer a fax service, their locations, hours and prices. To pick up a list of fax services, stop in the CSO or ask the library staff. In addition, there is a list posted outside the CSO. NETWORKING SEMINAR Due to a mixup in the announcements about the location of the seminar, we are worried that some students wishing to attend could not find us last week at 12:15pm. Please visit the Career Services Office for a copy of the handout we used for the presentation. You also can view the tape that Aviva Orenstein and Sarah Hughes made last year on this subject, which is available in the CSO. If you have questions about networking as part of your job search, please make an appointment to see CSO Director Kathleen Austin or CSO Assistant Director Christine Rodden.
