SURVEY OF NORTH CAROLINA CASE LAW

[The "Survey of North Carolina Case Law" is designed to review cases decided by the North Carolina Supreme Court during the period covered and to supplement past and future "Surveys" in presenting developments in North Carolina case law that are deemed of particular importance; it is not the purpose of the "Survey" to discuss all the cases that were decided during the period of its coverage. The North Carolina Supreme Court will be referred to as the "Courts" or the Supreme Court. The United States Supreme Court will be designated only by its full name.
